About Sadia Bukhari
Sadia Bukhari is an experienced cook and instructor in East Indian culinary
arts. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Mrs. Bukhari began to learn the
customary secrets and basics of Indian and Pakistani cuisine at an early
age from her mother and family friends. In 1988, she presented her
most authentic recipes in “Cuisine of India”, a video production filmed
in Seattle. The video received positive reviews in American Library
Association’s journal, The Booklist. She has taught her recipes at
various culinary schools in Seattle, and is also the founder of the School
of Authentic Indian Cooking. Her recipes have been featured in various
cookbooks and periodicals over the years.
Mrs. Bukhari holds a Bachelors degree in Home Economics with a focus
on Food and Nutrition. She currently lives in Seattle with her family.
